The Taimba store is now online — restock from your phone
For years, ordering from Taimba meant a phone call or a WhatsApp message to your field agent.
That worked — and it still works — but it meant you could not see the price list for yourself,
and you could not place an order at 9pm after closing the shop. From today you can do both.
What is new
- The full price list is online. Every product, its trade unit and its current indicative price, on one page.
- Order any time before 4pm for next-morning delivery. No call needed.
- Pay with M-Pesa at checkout. An STK push comes to your phone; approve it with your PIN and the order is confirmed.
- Cash on delivery and account terms are still there for the buyers who use them.
- Order confirmations by SMS and email, so you know what is coming and when.
What has not changed
Delivery is still free within our Nairobi zones — the price you see is the price you pay, with
no transport line at the bottom of the bill. Your field agent is still your field agent, and
WhatsApp still works. If your shop runs on a phone call at 4:55pm, nothing about that has to
change.
Why we did it
Two reasons. The first is simple convenience: the shops we serve are open from six in the
morning until late, and their ordering does not fit neatly into office hours. The second is
transparency. When the price list is public, nobody has to wonder whether the price they were
quoted is the price everyone else got. That transparency is the same principle we apply on the
farm side, where grade standards and prices are agreed with the farm group before harvest.
Getting started
Open a free trade account, and a Taimba agent will confirm your delivery area and your payment
terms. It takes a few minutes and there is no minimum contract. If you are an institution — a
school, hospital or hotel — ask about a standing weekly order on invoice terms.
